PADI IDC Staff instructor

Have you been teaching already for a while and you feel you would like to share your experience with new instructors? The IDC Staff Instructor course is your first step in becoming involved in PADI Instructor Development Course. Once you complete the course, you will be able to assist, teach and evaluate in PADI IDCs under the guidance of a PADI Course Director, and you will also be able to teach and certify Assistant Instructors independently.

The PADI IDC Staff Instructor course consists of two phases. The first phase takes about two days and you start by reviewing with your Course Director what you had learned during your IDC. You will also get a chance to brush up on dive theory, standards, and perfect your demonstration skills. A few presentations on various aspects of your work as an IDC Staff Instructor is also part of this phase.

In the second phase, you will actively participate in an entire IDC and assist the candidates in mastering the required skills throughout their course. This is an exciting and important role that you will also learn a lot from. You will have a completely new perspective on the whole IDC process now that it's no longer new to you, and you will be able to focus on the methodologies and techniques used in instructor level training.

The IDC Staff Instructor course is a highly rewarding experience during which we will expect your full attention and participation. Whether you are planning to become a Course Director later or not, becoming an IDC Staff Instructor will make you a more seasoned dive educator and will further improve your employment chances.
